In response to the spread of price increases, many paper companies said that they were affected by factors such as rising prices of raw materials such as wood pulp and energy, and rising logistics and transportation costs. It is reported that the core costs of papermaking are raw materials and energy, which together account for more than 70% of operating costs.

According to statistics, in May, the domestic production of coated paper was 370,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 15.8%, and the capacity utilization rate was 62.3%; the domestic double-coated paper output was 703,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 2.2%, and the capacity utilization rate was 61.1%; domestic white cardboard output 887,000 tons, a month-on-month increase of 1.5%, with a capacity utilization rate of 72.1%; tissue paper production was 732,000 tons, a month-on-month decrease of 0.6%, with a capacity utilization rate of 41.7%.
